Q: Can the 3D Fiber Laser mark on materials other than metal?

A: Yes, but with specific limitations.
While the 1064nm fiber laser source is optimized for all metals (Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Copper), it is also effective on opaque hard plastics such as ABS, PVC, and Polycarbonate.
Note: It is NOT suitable for organic materials like wood, cloth, or transparent acrylic (CO2 lasers are required for those).

Q: What is the main difference between your 3D machine and a standard 2D marker?

A: The difference lies in the Z-Axis Dynamic Focusing.

Standard 2D Marker: The focal length is fixed. If you mark a curved surface, the laser goes out of focus at the edges, causing the line to become thick, weak, or distorted.

CSTech 3D Marker: The software controls a dynamic lens that rapidly moves back and forth to change the focal distance in real-time. This allows the laser to "climb" slopes or "wrap" around cylinders while keeping the spot size perfectly focused and round.

Q: How does the machine handle steep curved angles?

A: It uses a 3-Axis Galvo System.
Instead of just X and Y mirrors, our machine adds a Z-axis linear motor. Before marking, you import the 3D model (STL) or define the curve in the software. The system then calculates the Z-depth for every coordinate.

Q: How fast is the 3D engraving process?

A: Speed depends heavily on your depth requirement.

 

Surface Marking: Extremely fast (up to 7000mm/s). Serial numbers on a curved mouse take less than 1 second.

Deep Relief Engraving: This is a layer-by-layer removal process. For example, engraving a 1mm deep coin die on steel may take 10 to 30 minutes depending on the power (60W/100W is recommended for this). However, once setup, the process is fully automated and unattended, freeing up your labor.
